CodePhil aims to teach, empower, and connect the next generation in Northern Samar, Philippines through programming. Our initiatives will allow low-income high school students to learn the valuable and marketable skill of coding, generate interest in technology careers, and create technological solutions for community-building. We traveled to the Philippines in August 2016 to pilot the project in Lavezares, Philippines. CodePhil is supported by the US Department of State, US Embassy in Manila, Lavezares Government Unit, Rotary Club of Catarman, BKP, Advanced World Solutions, and MIT Society of Women Engineers.
